SEO for landscapers and lawn care companies

Most landscaping companies do not need more leads. They need tighter routes, more recurring accounts, and fewer people calling to ask what you charge to cut a quarter acre. That is a different job than generic SEO, and it is the one we do.

Why landscaping is not like other trades

A plumber can drive across the county for one emergency call and still make money on it. A landscaping crew cannot. Your margin lives in route density — fifteen properties on three streets beats fifteen properties spread across forty miles, every single week, forever.

That changes what good marketing looks like. An agency that measures success in raw lead count will happily send you estimates from forty minutes away and call it a win. We measure whether the leads cluster where your trucks already are.

The second difference is revenue shape. Mowing contracts are your floor — predictable, unglamorous, and what keeps the crew paid in a slow month. Design, install, hardscape and irrigation are where the margin is. A marketing plan that only feeds one of those is only doing half the job.

What we optimize for

  • Route density. Leads concentrated in the neighborhoods you already serve, not scattered across the county.
  • Recurring over one-off. Maintenance contracts that renew, not a single cleanup that never calls back.
  • Ticket size. Visibility for install, hardscape and irrigation work, not only "cheap lawn mowing."
  • Fewer price shoppers. Pages that answer the expensive questions and filter out the ones hunting for the lowest number.

What we actually do

No packages with silver, gold and platinum tiers. A landscaping company with four trucks and one with forty need different things, so we start by looking at where your work already comes from and what it is worth.

Google Business Profile

The map pack is where landscaping leads actually come from. Service areas set to your real routes, photos of finished work, and the weekly activity Google rewards.

Service and area pages

One page per service that matters and per neighborhood worth owning — written so they do not cannibalize each other, which is the mistake almost every landscaping site makes.

Reviews that keep coming

A simple ask built into the job close, so reviews arrive steadily instead of in one burst that Google discounts. Recency counts more than total.

Before-and-after as content

You already take the photos. We turn them into the pages and posts that sell design and install work, where the real margin is.

Bilingual, properly

English and Spanish written by someone who speaks both, for crews and customers alike — not run through a translator and posted.

Google Ads, when it fits

Clicks for landscaping searches run around $10, and for lawn care leads closer to $19. Sometimes ads are worth it while SEO builds. Sometimes they are not. We will tell you which.

A real one

Gabriel Landscaping, Fort Pierce

A working landscaping company on the Treasure Coast, not a stock photo. Same problems as yours: good work, word-of-mouth that had gone as far as it could, and no presence when someone in the next neighborhood searched for a landscaper.

Frequently asked questions

How long before a landscaping company sees results?
Google Business Profile work tends to show movement in 60 to 90 days, because the map pack responds faster than organic results. Website rankings usually take three to six months. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either buying ads and calling it SEO, or lying. The honest version is that the first quarter is groundwork and the payback shows up in the second.
We are already booked. Why would we market?
Being booked and being profitable are different things. If your route is full of quarter-acre mows scattered across three towns, the goal is not more work — it is replacing the worst accounts with better ones closer to home. A company that can be selective raises prices without losing sleep. That is usually the real conversation.
Do we need a new website first?
Usually not. A well-run Google Business Profile generates calls with no website at all, and for a lot of landscaping companies that is the cheapest first move. A website starts to matter when you want install and design work, because that customer researches before they call and wants to see finished projects.
Does any of this work outside Florida?
Yes. We are based on the Treasure Coast and we know Florida's year-round growing season and storm-cleanup swings better than most, but local SEO mechanics are the same in Ohio as in Vero Beach. What changes is the seasonal calendar, and that is something we set up with you in the first month.
